Our Vision
The Lakewood Jaycees is part of the larger United States Junior Chamber (Jaycees) and is a leadership training and civic organization for young adults ages 18-40. The Lakewood Chapter has been in operation since 1997 and has supported the city through various projects and events.

How do I join?
If you are interested in joining there are various methods to join the Lakewood Jaycees. After completing the interest form, be sure to contact the Vice President of Membership. More details on the "About Us" page. Please note that this is a volunteer organization, we do not have a full-time staff. Messages are checked and returned on a regular basis. The best way to get in touch initially is via email.
What is the time commitment?
On the Lakewood Jaycees, time commitment may vary depending on upcoming events, organizational mixers, and general plans. The goal of your time on the Jaycees is to connect, collaborate, and communicate with other individuals who intend on bringing the value or volunteerism to the City of Lakewood.
When and where are the meetings?
The Lakewood Jaycees meet once a month usually at a Lakewood-owned small or large business. The purpose behind this is to support locally owned businesses and further connect the goals of our chapter. Meetings usually fall on the third Thursday of each month but is subject to change depending on the schedule.
How do I pay for my membership?
Complete interest form on our website and contact the Vice President of Membership. To pay for membership in a Jaycees (Junior Chamber International – JCI) chapter, start by locating your local chapter through the JCI USA website (https://www.jciusa.org/)or JCI International site.(https://jci.cc/) Contact the chapter directly to inquire about membership requirements, dues, and payment methods. Most chapters will ask you to complete a membership application and may require age verification, as Jaycees typically serves individuals ages 18–40. Membership dues vary by chapter but generally range from $30 to $100 per year. Payment can often be made through an online portal, PayPal, Venmo, or by check or cash during a meeting or event. After submitting your application and payment, you’ll receive confirmation and may be welcomed with an orientation or informational packet. Some chapters also offer discounted rates for students or first-time members.
